Privacy Policy
Cutfall has no accounts and no database. The measurements you type are processed on your own device and are not transmitted anywhere.
The short version
- Your measurements stay on your device. Every calculation runs in JavaScript in your browser. There is no server-side computation and no API call carrying your numbers.
- There are no accounts. You cannot sign up, so there is no name, email address or password to hold.
- Analytics are aggregate. Two privacy-conscious analytics services record that a page was viewed. Neither receives your room dimensions.
- Advertising is not live yet. When it is, this page will be updated before the first ad is served.
What Cutfall does with what you type
Room sizes, tile sizes, joint widths and settings are read by a solver running in a Web Worker — a background thread inside your browser. The result, the drawing and the printable plan are all produced there. None of it is sent to a server, because there is no server to send it to: the site is a set of static files.
Your current layout is kept in the address bar as a query string, which is what makes a plan shareable and survives a refresh. That URL lives in your own browser history. If you paste it to somebody, you are sending them your measurements — that is the only way they leave your device, and you are the one doing it.
Analytics deliberately do not receive that query string. Cutfall overrides the page address reported to Google Analytics so that only the page path is sent, never the parameters.
What is stored on your device

cutfall-unit-system - Remembers whether you chose millimetres or inches, so switching pages does not reset it. Deleted when you close the tab. Not a cookie, and never transmitted.
- Analytics cookies
- Google Analytics sets first-party cookies (
_gaand similar) to tell a returning visit from a new one. They contain a random identifier, not anything about you.
Analytics
Google Analytics 4
Used to see which pages and tools are visited and roughly where visitors come from. It receives the page path, referrer, approximate location derived from your IP address, and browser and device type. Google's handling is covered byGoogle's privacy policy. Google Analytics 4 does not log or store IP addresses. You can block it with any standard content blocker; the tools work identically either way, because they never needed it.
Cloudflare Web Analytics
A cookieless measurement of page loads and performance. It sets no identifier and does not track visitors between sites.
Hosting
The site is served by Cloudflare Pages. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes the requests needed to deliver a page — including your IP address — for delivery, caching and abuse prevention. SeeCloudflare's privacy policy. The domain is registered through Cloudflare Registrar.
Advertising
No advertising is being served at the time of writing.Cutfall is funded by display advertising and the page reserves space for it, but no ad code is loaded yet.
When advertising goes live, this section will be rewritten first, and it will name the network, describe the cookies it sets and explain how to opt out. Advertising will never be placed above a tool's inputs or over a result you are waiting on. Ads will not receive your measurements, for the same reason analytics do not.
Children
Cutfall is a tool for building work and is not directed at children. No personal information is knowingly collected from anyone.
Your rights
Because there are no accounts and no stored submissions, there is no personal record here to request, correct or delete. To remove what does exist locally, clear your browser's cookies and site data for cutfall.com. To ask anything about this policy, emailhello@cutfall.com.
